Survive The Night OCT: Dara Teale Conway

EDIT - Thanks to some great feedback, I've changed Dara's MP3 into a Walkman as she wouldn't have had one in 1993 as they weren't released to the public yet. So although the picture does show a MP3 (I apologise for my terrible research skills ), she officially now has a black Walkman Cassette Player.

Age: 19

Height: 5’3”

Weight: 132lbs

Hair Color: Dark brown

Eye Color: Light green

Skin Tone: Caucasian with her arms being lightly tanned. Her cheeks also seem to have a permanent slight blush to them. (Normally, it is a light, faded pink but gets bright red when she’s flustered or angry.)

Body Type: On the chubby side with broad shoulders. She also has strong arms from lifting heavy boxes.

Scars/Tattoos/Other Markings: She has one or two faded scars on her shoulders and chest from fights with her siblings when they were young.

Personality:

Dara is a bit of a scaredy cat and gets spooked by a lot of things. However, she wants to overcome her fears and will do things she finds scary to do so. Although she has learned to use some tact when talking to people (thanks to her job), she is very honest and straight forward. Dara finds it hard to hide her emotions and is very expressive. She also empathises with others and will try and help them as much as she can. Dara can get quite grumpy if she thinks she’s being made fun of but she’ll forgive you quickly if you let her stew for a bit.

History:

Dara moved to the town with her family when she was six and has lived there ever since. She got a job at the local convenience store (BeeMart) after High school and plans to save up enough to go on a cooking course at college. While working a late shift, she got into a conversation about Freddy Frazbear’s Pizzeria and the rumours around it with her co-workers. After several people dared each other to stay at the pizzeria at night, Dara agreed to stay in the building for six hours. And to make sure she didn’t stay in the girl’s toilets all night, she had to get a slice of birthday cake as proof that she had spent the night there.

Strengths: 

*Can Lift Heavy Objects with Ease. (She can carry up to at least 105lbs but anything heavier will get dragged instead.)

* Very Determined. (Once she sets her mind on something, she will try to see it through to the end.)

*Miss Resourceful/Magpie. (Her backpack contains random stuff that she finds, thinking they will be useful someday. From Disney plasters to a rolled up newspaper, most of the things are small but given the task, Dara will find some use for them.)

*Has a Good Memory. (Thanks to working in a store, she has become very good at remembering where things are and specific details.)

Weaknesses:

* Gullible. (Sure, she knows people lie but she likes to think everyone will be honest as she is.)

* Easily Scared. (Her Flight or Fight response is almost always on ‘Flight’. If she has time, she may grab you and drag you along with her. If not, she hopes that that you’ll be following her example of running away.)

* Cannot Hide in Small Spaces. (No matter how small she tries to make herself.)

* Is Vulnerable When Wearing Her Headphones. (When scared or upset, Dara puts in her headphones and listens to music from her cassette player, humming along to the songs. Listening to music calms her down but she may not hear the sounds of the animatronics hell bent on trying to stuff her into a suit until it is too late.)

Misc traits:

*The backpack currently contains:

-Some Disney plasters (All decorated with Minnie Mouse)

-Her Walkman (Currently contains one cassette with 20 songs)

-A cheap compact mirror

-A pink sort of see though scarf (She has no idea where THAT come from.)

-A rolled up newspaper (She thought the ‘ghosts’ would be like dogs and wouldn’t attack her if she hit it against the wall loudly or something.)

*She’s fairly good at baking and loves trying out new cake recipes. She dreams of owning her own cake shop.

*Being straight forward, she gets to the point quickly without being distracted by fancy details that don’t matter.

Other:

* She comes from a family of six and is the eldest out of four children.

*Dara and her family used to go to the Pizzeria every so often until she was 13 years old. Her favourite used to be Chica. (How long she’ll like the animatronic for now is another matter.)

 *Surprisingly, she likes spiders and she hopes that one day, she can finally own her very own pet tarantula. Dara is torn between calling it either “Merrylegs” or “Poppins”.

 *She isn't afraid of heights either, thanks to working with high ladders.
